SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS * I built an entire faculty recruitment system for a major university in a month in late 2000, and operated it successfully for more than 3 years. * At Bell Atlantic, I produced a secure set of databases for the Problem Management Department, for which I was commended by the project manager. * In early 1996 I organized the Greenbelt Internet Access Cooperative, a value-added reseller of Internet connectivity, which produces a widely-acclaimed series of free monthly classes on using the internet. * I was given commendations by NASA and other contractors for contributing to an excellent rating for the Dynamic Explorer project. * I earned a Letter of Commendation from Dr. J. T. Comiso for my work on the Antarctic Sea Ice Atlas * I was commended for developing a high-speed modem network for GE factories throughout North America. * I activated Greenbelt Access Television by producing a number of cable television programs, became Vice President for programming, and helped build a studio in the new Community Center. * I took the production of a complex 2-color map of Greenbelt, Maryland from concept to finished product on schedule and under budget by coordinating the efforts of diverse individuals. * I helped found the Greenbelt Astronomy Club in 1993, and became its first president, and am instrumental in starting the Greenbelt City Observatory. * I founded Cave Information Service, a nonprofit research and publishing foundation, in 1972.
