The Cottage on Lake Michigan
One of our customers was in real estate at the southern end of Lake Michigan.
She talked us into buying a house at the lake, and put in a beauty shop.
After we moved in we found out one couldn’t put a business in a home [there].
We loved the house, but we had to sell it.

[I visited it only once. Very nice, on the dunes next to the southern end of
Lake Michigan, with steep hills and single-lane roads.
Every other garage had an electric door opener, and the neighbors tried ressuring us to get one. That only lasted a few weeks.]
[My parents tried to buy property at Lake Dalecarlia, and filled my head with the idea that I could run a boat-based mini market in the summer. I didn’t buy it, and neither did they.] | |||
