For the previous ten years, he was a member of the HR IS team at the University of Maryland University College, providing technical support to those finding and hiring online and overseas faculty. He was the Stateside Skilport Administrator, and was partly responsible for PeopleSoft queries. Before 2000 he did Access Basic coding, SQL, OLE and DDE Transfers from Access, graphics design for Comsat, and online MetaDatabase documentation at a number of temporary jobs. Before that he supported NASA, NOAA and Intelsat projects for over 20 years.

Doug Love working with topographic maps in graduate school Doug uses his knowledge of geology, astronomy and computer science for many community activities and educational programs, including Greenbelt Access Television, and teaching college, specifically astronomy at Bowie State University, computer ccience at Catonsville Community College, Depauw University and Indiana University, and geology at Ivy Tech.
