He is the database designer for Faculty Recruiting at the University of
Maryland University College, helping to find online and overseas faculty. In the
past four years, he has done Access Basic coding, SQL, OLE and DDE Transfers
from Access, graphics design for Comsat, and online MetaDatabase documentation.
Before that he supported NASA, NOAA and Intelsat projects for 20 years.

 Doug uses his vast
knowledge of geology, astronomy and computer science for many community
activities and educational programs. These include Greenbelt Access
Television, and the Greenbelt Internet Access Cooperative.
Another is teaching Astronomy at Bowie State University in 1999.
