The previously lost text of
"Mountain Climbing in Delaware"

This is apparently a document that I prepared after a winter fieldtrip to Delaware in the late 1980s. It was printed on an Epson 7-pin printer from my old Kaypro, whose disks are mostly melted now. The people involved are real: Jack Nail was then the Youth Director for the Chesapeake Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, and as such was in charge of the Pathfinder Clubs in Delaware and Maryland, a worldwide coed scouting program. I used to call Jack "the world's oldest youth leader". I was then and still am an "honoree", a volunteer that goes to different clubs and teaches classes in cave exploring, rappelling and prusiking, knot tying, astronomy, and whatever else I am good at. I don't remember who George was, but I hope he's getting enough rest!
The whole idea was that I was bored with the scenery, and thought it would be interesting to invest Delaware with some topography. Our route took us across a bridge over the Delaware and Chesapeake Canal, which at 50' above sea level is the highest point in Delaware. I had clostridium at the time, causing me dietary distress with icecream. I got over it when I stopped gluing loose teeth in with super glue! (Superglue was actually designed for that purpose!)
Ches & Del. Canal Bridge
This document had been lost for years. It was returned to me one day recently in church, when my solicitor, Victor Elliott Esq. told me he had been doing some desk cleaning and had found it. He dated Chapter 8 with 10/25/88.

I only completed these 3 chapters, so don't be distressed that there may be lost parts. Those are left to your imagination.

the Mason-Dixon Line Monument
I am happy to share this previously lost masterpiece with the world. Just realize that this is largely a work of fiction, and I can't guarantee you will find such adventure in Delaware, although it is a fairly nice place to visit if you stay away from the chemical factories.

(Old Rag is in Virginia, not Delaware.)
