Observing, A Tonic Doug Love, 2/3/1990 We send our mighty spacecraft to the stars To study all phenomena in view. We have our lunar landers, and on Mars There still is much surveying work to do. Until that time, our working hours are spent Computing orbits, engineering plans, Adjusting signals, saving every cent, Whatever tasks have come into our hands. Despite our satisfaction with these skills And pride in putting mroe things into space, Whenever there's a dulling of our wills, We simply need to find the time and place To reinstall our telescopes: and soon To view the golden craters of the Moon.
